This full villa renovation transformed two old attached villas into one cohesive home, reimagining the existing spaces to create a more intelligent and purposeful way of living. Rather than simply refreshing the interiors, the renovation looked at how the two properties could work together as one.
A major part of the transformation was opening the connection between the two villas and removing one of the existing staircases. What was once an unnecessary circulation space was given a new purpose, becoming a pantry and storage area on the upper level. This approach allowed previously underused areas to become functional parts of the home, without adding unnecessary volume.
The design was guided by the idea that good design is not always about adding more, but about understanding what is already there and making it work better. Every room, transition and corner was considered in relation to the way the family would actually live, creating a home that feels generous without feeling excessive.
A neutral colour palette creates the foundation throughout the villa, allowing the architecture, materials and furnishings to remain calm and timeless. In the main Majlis, a soft light blue introduces a subtle layer of colour, giving the formal gathering space its own identity while maintaining the overall sense of serenity.
The upper family room takes a different direction, embracing a modern Bohemian style with a more relaxed and personal character. The contrast between the formal Majlis and the informal family space allows the home to shift naturally between different moods and ways of living.
Ultimately, this Villa Renovation Dubai project became an exercise in intelligent space planning, renovation and transformation, taking two dated villas and giving them a new life as one connected home.
